ceramic /porcelian insulators . ||Manufacturing process.

MATERIAL USED FOR MANUFACTURING :-

1.clay.

2.Quartz.

3.Alumina.

4.Feldspar.

These are covered with a smooth graze to shed water.

INSULATORS are made from porcelain rich ion alumina are used where high mechanical strength required. PORCELAIN has a diectric strength of about 4-10 kV/mm.

An INSULATOR is a material that does not conduct electrical current. Insulating materials include paper, plastic, rubber, glass and air. Vacuum is also an insulator, but is not actually a material. Most electrical conductors are covered by insulation. Magnet wire is coated with an extremely thin layer of insulation so that more turns or larger wire may be used in the winding of transformers etc. Insulators are generally rated at hundreds of volts, but some that are used in power distribution are rated as high as hundreds of thousands of volts. Insulators support and/or keep electrical conductors from making unintended contact with each other.

USES

Insulators are used in electrical equipment to support and separate electrical conductors without allowing current through themselves. Aninsulating material used in bulk to wrap electrical cables or other equipment is called insulation.

An electrical insulator, also known as a noncunductor, is used to prevent the flow of electric currents.

PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING:-
1.MIXING  - IN this process CERAMIC SOIL&FERLDSSPAR can be mix by the use of mixing machines in the factory.
2.SHAPING-
IN the factory by the use of machines SHAPING OF INSULATORS should be done.
3.ELEXTRO DRYING- In this process cermaic INSULATOR dry by using electric current.

4-INSTALL FITTINGS-In this process outer fittings of insulators can be install by using cement or other insulating materials.
5.TESTING-In this process high voltage electric current can flow in the INSULATORs.

Fault Passage( sensor)Indicator. FPI. ||Uses and Working

Fault Passage Indicator . In other words it is also called as:- Fault sensor indicator . Line fault Indicator. A fault indicator is a divice which provides visual or remote indication of a fault on the electrical power system. It is also called a faulted circuit indicator.(FCI). It is used to detect fault and its location by the use of RSU of overhead and underground electrical lines fault.
